CHANGES DURING THE PAST AND FUTURE

As Reading Power has evolved from just a dream into a recognized force for overcoming illiteracy, our numbers have grown: the number of tutors, the number of children served, the number of schools, the number of tutor hours, and the corresponding annual costs. Shown below are a series of charts to illustrate these changes during the last four years. We also show projections for the coming three years which assume we will continue to grow at the same rate.

Students

In 2003-4, eighty-five children were tutored, twenty-six on a regular basis and fifty-nine of them infrequently. By 2006-07, 130 children were tutored at least twice per week. During the 2010-11 school year we will have tutored 190 students.
